Background

I remembered watching jinyong movies when I was young. Though the technology wasn't that great, the plots, actors and actresses were fantastic. It left a deep impression on me and I believed it was the same for many Jinyong fans out there. Many years have passed and we still see many versions of Jin Yong movies being created. Many people watch Jin Yong movies over and over again without getting bored.

This website is a dedication to the famous wuxia writer - Jin Yong and all the actors and actresses who acted in Jin Yong series during the 1980s.

Motivation

Sometimes we want to escape from the real world... that is when Wuxia or fantasy comes in. There were many RPG games created based on Jin Yong wuxia novels. Many games are long and require alot of time to play. I have bad experiences playing RPG games (affected stuides, relationships...etc). and thought that it would be a better idea to play short games. Short and simple games can provide entertainment and yet will not affect our lives too much. Ultimately, we live in the real world...

I was inspired to create a text-based fighting game after visiting many Jin Yong forums. The most common posts were about "Who is the best fighter in Jin Yong World". Since people argue about it,, why not create a game out of their arguement?

"Hua Shan Lun jian Online" is a simple text-based fighting game I created to provide entertainment, and hopefully not too time consuming to complete a game. The fighting style is similar to neo-pets and MUD (if you play them before).

Hua Shan Lun Jian

In the "Legend of the Condor Heroes" and "Return of the Condor Heroes", Jin Yong mentioned that many martial arts expert will gather at Hua Shan to fight for the title of "Wu Gong Tian Xia Di Yi", meaning the person with the Best Kung Fu. In this website, we try to simulate the fighting process.
